Meet Our Team
Founder & Creative Director
Tyler Van Halteren
Tyler founded Lithos Kids in 2020 afer seeing the impact short bedtime stories had on his son. He is the author of the Little Pilgrim series as well as The Kingdom of God Bible Storybook. Canadian by birth, Tyler previously served as a pastor in rural Ontario and later as a Bible professor in Cambodia. His growing young family now resides in Canada. Tyler holds a M.Div. from The Master's Seminary.
Director of Operations & Customer Care
Lauren Ducommun
Lauren and her family served as missionaries in Indonesia before returning to Canada. She joined the team in 2020 and currently oversees our US warehouse, social media content, marketing, editing, and proofreading. She also modernized The Pilgrim's Progress: Legacy Edition, and formatted Paradise Lost: Legacy Edition! Her family now resides near Fort Worth, Texas where she works from home with her two kids, ages nine and thirteen.
Canadian Customer Care & Shipping
Alyssa Seki
Alyssa handles Canadian shipping and wholesale orders as well as bookkeeping. She is a spreadsheet extraordinaire and loves all things books. Alyssa and her husband met Tyler while attending The Master's Seminary in southern California, and they now live near Toronto where her husband is a full-time pastor, and Alyssa is a full-time mom to four crazy boys.
Customer Service & Social Media Engagement
Bryn Day
Bryn joined the team in 2022 to help with social media. She does an incredible job engaging with everyone on Instagram and Facebook, as well as working with our launch and alpha/beta teams. Her family resides in Ontario, where she also runs an online consignment shop while homeschooling and caring for her four young kids. Her husband, Jake, is a pastor at Streetsville Baptist Church.
Trade & Sales Coordinator
Ann Tatum
Ann handles our wholesale orders, working closely with our retail partners. She also oversees our book review program. Ann has been a pastor's wife for over 35 years, homeschooled two daughters, and owns her own small business. She and her husband live on a farm in Texas next door to two of their grandkids.
Translations Coordinator
Scott D. Mckenzie
Scott coordinates translation projects of our books into other languages. He works with likeminded evangelical publishers around the world who want to publish Lithos books into their languages. Scott lives with his wife Justine and kids in Port Perry, Ontario, and serves at Port Perry Baptist Church.
Canadian Warehouse Assistant
Sandra Derkson
Sandra assists Alyssa with maintaining the Canadian warehouse, inventory, and shipping. Having lived in Alberta her whole life, Sandra and Darcy, her husband, moved to Ontario a few years ago to be near their precious grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoys creating delicious treats in her kitchen and sewing up adorable things to wear.
